United look to get back to winning ways against newly-promoted Norwich...
Form Guide United are still unbeaten in 2011/12 but have drawn the last two games - 1-1 at Stoke and 3-3 against Basel in midweek. The Canaries moved into the top half of the table with a deserved 2-1 triumph over Sunderland on Monday evening, their second win on the trot after beating Bolton 2-1 at the Reebok Stadium. Paul Lambert's side will be hoping for another good day in the North West, having also drawn 1-1 at Wigan on the opening day.
Ins and Outs Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney were both declared fit by Sir Alex Ferguson in his Friday morning press conference. The boss also hopes to have Jonny Evans back to bolster a back four still missing Chris Smalling (groin) and longer-term absentees Nemanja Vidic and Rafael. Meanwhile, the midfield ranks look healthy with only two - Tom Cleverley and Darron Gibson - ruled out. Norwich are without Reds loanee Ritchie De Laet and knee-injury victim James Vaughan. Steve Morison was preferred to captain Grant Holt as a lone attacker against Sunderland.
Last Meeting In April 2005, the Reds crashed to an embarrassing 2-0 defeat at Carrow Road - not even bringing Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy off the bench could yield an upturn in fortunes. Dean Ashton and Leon McKenzie got the goals against an under-strength and under-par United side.
Top Man Marc Tierney has come up the hard way and is making up for lost time at the top level. The shaven-headed defender was outstanding in the win
